Washington Ceasefire is still censoring

Washington Ceasefire has yet to remove the censorship bans on any of the people we have received reports from.  What do these people gain from oppressing conversation that they have asked for?  If you review the interview with Washington Ceasefire's own Ralph Fascitelli and listen to his comment at  1:40 "We're trying to raise awareness and start a conversation that is going to lead to a safer society" but they're actively engaging in censorship so those types of conversations cannot take place.  These are cowardly and hypocritical methods to conducting conversations because they only allow those that are sided with them to have a voice on their facebook page.

All we ask for is to openly engage groups such as Washington Ceasefire in conversation but they would rather chose to oppress than to converse.

As to the evil which results from a censorship, it is impossible to measure it, for it is impossible to tell where it ends. ~ Jeremy Bentham

Curiosity & Censorship

Curiosity & Censorship

Curiosity got the best of us so we found another Washington based facebook page "Washington State for Gun Control" and replied to one of their posts.  Sure enough, our suspicions were validated.  The comment (Click the Read More button to see a screen shot) was censored and our profile was blocked.  It seems to be a trend that Gun Control groups do not want to hear any sort of opposing conversations to their agenda.  Why are these people so afraid of open conversation with gun rights advocates?  To us, it's a very telling sign about their character and principles.  If they're pushing to take away the citizens rights to keep and bear arms while actively censoring people, this is a huge red flag to us.  These people have no reservation to instil oppression on our society and once they have succeeded in one area, we strongly fear they will move onto another area.  All we ask is that there be open conversation (censorship free) taking place but this does not seem to be possible when the people for gun control are in charge.  Tell us about your experiences with gun control advocacy groups.  Have others been engaging in censorship as well?

Join us for an open and civil discussion

Come join us!

Washington Ceasefire is LAME because they're actively engaging in censorship to stop peoples right to free speech (protected by the 1st amendment) so we are inviting everyone to our facebook page to engage in an open discussion about how we can address some of the questions being raised by the public, media and our government surrounding these mass shootings.  We will not block, delete or censor anyone for expressing their opinions in a civil manner.  We encourage everyone from both sides of the issue to express yourself and see if we can develop a strategy to address the questions and issues while still protecting everyones rights.  Find our facebook page here: like us and let the open discussions begin.

Building Resources

Help Us!

We would like to start compiling a list of web sites, facebook pages or what ever else on both sides of the gun rights issue.  We would like to start with Washington based sites etc.. first but then expand out to national and finally world wide groups.  Try to give some kind of indication as to whether they are 'for',  'against' or 'other' to help us categorize them.  We plan to post all of these URLs on our website's "Resources" page we are developing.  You can relay those URLs to us on our facebook page: Washington Ceasefire is LAME

Thank you,
